Growing up in Oregon, I’ve had a hankering for all things outdoors since I was a child, but fishing has always been at the top of my list. I grew up near the banks of the infamous Clackamas River and it was there that my thirst for targeting Salmon and Steelhead began. I was 11 years old when I hooked my first Steelhead on a silver and blue spoon, and my quest to keep feeling that ‘rush’ turned into a true passion.
It was important to me to be able to share this sport with others who understood that ‘rush’. At 21 years old, I became a licensed and insured guide and now, seven years later, I’m very fortunate and grateful to call this my job. The experiences I’ve shared with my clients have been worth a lifetime, and the relationships I’ve formed have been invaluable to my success on and off the river.
I strive to make professional and ethically conscious decisions while on the river, and I place great value on a safe, comfortable and fun experience.
Located in Pacific City, I’m smack dab in the middle of the great fisheries of Tillamook County. From the Nestucca, Wilson, Trask, Kilchis, and many other small streams, there’s no shortage of opportunity for us.
Hope to see you out there!
Your Guide,
Tanner
